Yes. Putting an Asset in the Test lane does not hide it from the left navigation, and it does not put that Asset in a separate sandbox.
Test and Production are operating lanes. They only decide which side of the Real-Time Showcase diagram the Asset appears on: Production on the left, Test on the right. New Assets start in Test. You do not need to move an Asset to Production for Historical Metadata, Real-Time Showcase, or the other Dashboard pages to use it.
This lane is not ingest, Execution membership, or billing. It is a display tag.
Historical Metadata includes Test Assets the same way it includes Production Assets. Event lists and volume charts are for the whole account. The Work-Input / Work-Output chart is whichever Asset and series you select. Lookback replay uses Assets that are in scope and ready — it does not drop Test.
Real-Time Showcase is the page that uses the Test lane. In-scope, ready Test Assets plot on the right half of the Showcase. Production plots on the left. Focusing an Asset, opening Method tables, and viewing hop throughput work the same in either lane.
These pages also include Test Assets:
· Asset Profiles
· Group Profiles
· Execution Results
· Calibration Settings
· Pairwise Review
· Comparison Variants
· Single Analysis
· Spike Detection
· Projection Time Series
· Prediction Results
· Actions & Investments
A Group can have its own Test or Production chip. That does not hide the Group’s member Assets. Each Asset still plots from its own lane.
The page is working. Something else is missing:
· The Asset is out of scope, so it is not in the Execution / Showcase set.
· The Asset is over the plan’s Asset cap, so it stays listed but is not allocated to those runs.
· The Asset has no Work-Output series yet, so it will not appear as a Showcase dot or in Execution totals. The same rule applies in Production.
Events can show in Historical even when the series chart is blank — that means hops arrived, but Work-Input / Work-Output was never written for that Asset. Field mappings write the Historical series. They do not care whether the Asset chip says Test or Production.
Leave Assets in Test unless you want those Showcase dots on the left half.
